Fall Jackets

I’ve always been a sucker for a great coat or blazer! So, today I am showing you some of my faves this season!

Plaid is a huge trend this Fall and I absolutely LOVE this blazer from Nordstrom! It fits like a glove, is super flattering, and has ruche sleeves! The navy dress is super versatile and EVERYONE needs a pair of white slouchy boots in their closet.

Military-inspired jackets are also on trend. I love this jacket from Abercrombie & Fitch not only for the price (!), but also it’s cropped fit, and cool patches.

I love the the look of any moto jacket! And I was soooo excited when I found this cute one at Anthropologie. I have to admit, the fur collar is what sold me on the jacket!

The final jacket combines two awesome trends: plaid and fur! How awesome is this coat???

Mad for Plaid!

Hey! After a little hiatus I call Summer vacation…I am back! And I am super excited to share with you some of my favorite Fall looks and trends. This week, I am mad for PLAID! This trend is on fire and and I am loving it! I have two looks to share. The first is a classic denim on denim look paired with a super cute plaid blazer and white heels.

The second look are amazing plaid pants with a super cute stripe down the side paired with a denim shirt and white heels (the denim shirt and white heels are on repeat—because they are wardrobe essentials!)

Three Best Beach Cover-ups

I don't know about you, but I spend a majority of the Summer in a beach cover up! What I've recently discovered is that coverups don't have to be always purchased in the swimwear section! I prefer to find cute Summer dresses that can double up as a cover up! LOL Here are my top 3 favorites for Summer 2018!

Three fave coverups_1317.jpg

Free People is the PERFECT place to find beach cover ups! I love the bohemian feel of their dresses and this one in particular has pockets and a hood! Accessories: fedora and sandals from Target!

I recently discovered the brand Poupette St. Barth and I am in LOVE! They have the cutest dresses and rompers. Here's another amazing beach cover up! Accessories: Avec Le Filles white slides (on sale) and a My Other Bag tote (similar).

Final fave is this great Rails dress! I love the gathered waist and light weight fabric. Accessories: my Colorado baseball cap :-)

On Target!

How many of you need to set aside a good 2 hours to shop at Target? I always go with a list, but I still find myself wandering the aisles picking up things that I want (but may not need)! Over the past few years, Target has really become a one - stop shop. Major designers have created fashion-forward lines in clothing, accessories, and home goods. Recently, I went on a major shopping spree at Target and I nailed it! Check out my new head to toe Target look AND my new porch furniture....who wants to come over for a BBQ and a glass of wine?

This "Who What Wear" denim dress is perfect for Summer! It is lady-like and sophisticated, and only $37 (more sizes in-store)! I fell in love with these nude, suede sandals. They are very well made and comfortable (more sizes in-store). I wanted to add a pop of color, so I grabbed this bright red tote. How cute is this look?!!? AND, you can have this entire look for @$100!!

I've been on a search for new patio furniture for a while now. I knew I wanted a modern look, and that the furniture needed to be on the smaller size. I couldn't believe the amazing selection of outdoor furniture and accessories online at Target...not to mention, the AMAZING PRICES! My back porch is now my new favorite place to read a book and have a cup of coffee! Loveseat, chairs, garden stools, poufs, outdoor lanterns.

Shorts Season

Is it me or are shorts nowadays REALLY short?? I'm sorry, but I don't want half of my butt cheek hanging out. It's very uncomfortable and not attractive. Just saying. BUT Summer is upon us, and we all need a few good pairs of shorts that we can throw on when we don't want to wear a skirt or a sundress. One trick I discovered recently is "un-cuffing" my jean shorts. It gives me extra length that I need and want (now that I am 44)! I was determined to find more short options, and while shopping at Abercrombie & Fitch for my 14 year old, I found the most amazing pair of shorts. I kid you not! I do recommend going up a size - their clothing seems to be made for very skinny people! They are the perfect length and only $54!

Since these shorts were on the "longer" side and had a cute belt, I decided to dress them up! This lady-like top is from Anthropologie. I love the lace detail around the neck. Accessories: Veronica Beard heels (on repeat - they go with everything!) and a colorful striped straw clutch! I am happy to report that there are short options out there for us ladies who like to keep our butts covered!
