Fashion Construction Zone

I'm sure by now all of you are aware of my denim overall obsession this season! I never thought I would put another pair on after my senior year of college (which was a very long time ago!), but they're just so darn cute and comfortable! The setting for this photoshoot was an interesting one....part of my house has been under construction for what feels like FOREVER, so I thought I would get some use out of the open space (oh, and my youngest child told me that my I looked like a construction worker in my outfit...I just needed a tool belt).

My family and I were visiting my parents on the North Fork in LI and I found these overalls at the Gap Outlet (more sizing available in-store) at an amazing price! I knew I had to have them. I grabbed my black Athleta tank for underneath and my white Dr. Scholls (another blast from the past!). Final touch: earrings from Zia Boutique (similar style), a super cool jewelry store in Savannah, GA.

Old Navy all the way!

There's nothing better than a one stop shop where you can get an entire look and not break the bank! I found this entire look at Old Navy (and for $100 TOTAL!) Oh, and two of my girls decided to steal the show and jump into my photo shoot!

I walked into Old Navy with a long list of items to get my three girls, but I didn't even make it back to the kid's section! I immediately had an armful of clothes and accessories and went straight to the check out. LOL I left the store with many great things, but my favorite was this look I put together: a super cute and comfortable black dress that can be worn with or without a belt. Since I chose a brown belt, I wanted to bring in some brown elsewhere in the look and lucky me...I found these awesome flat sandals (that also work with so many other things in my wardrobe)! Final touches, a crossbody bucket bag - which fits a ton of stuff and a fedora (I'm trying to be better about keeping the sun off my face)!

Best Dressed for the 4th!

Happy almost 4th of July! What are your plans for the holiday? And more importantly, what are you going to wear? I'm heading to RI and so excited for the fire works, face painting and celebrating with friends and family. And of course, I have already picked out my outfit :-)

I found this super cute striped dress at Bloomingdales...price tag? $88!!! So, I grabbed it and ran to the check out. And we all know that white heels are the way to go this Summer! I found these Steve Madden kitten heel sandals (similar) and knew I would wear them all season! Accessories: white Rebecca Minkoff envelope clutch from Mint- only $95! Happy July 4th!!!

Leather Weather!

Some people think that you can only wear leather in the Fall and Winter....and I'm here to tell you that is not true! There are so many fun leather options out there for Summer, that are super cute and weather appropriate (i.e. you won't sweat to death)!

I found this amazing white leather dress at Zara. I loved the off-white color and the ruffle straps. And it was only $40! How can you beat that price?!?! I know I will wear this to many events throughout the Summer and then pair it with jeans in the Fall! Isn't it great when your Summer purchase works its way into your Fall wardrobe?!?! For accessories I grabbed my lizard clutch - similar options at August Designs and my old and vintage (per my 15 year old, Emma) Gucci slides (similar). I'm so glad I kept them and that everything seems to come back in style...lol.

Flower Power

Florals have a lot of power this season! So, of course I had to dive right in and find the perfect floral dress!

I chose this Zara dress because it was somewhat muted in color and ruffles as well as an exposed back, which made it fun and kind of sexy! I had to break out my fave pink suede platform sandals (similar) (aka "Barbie" shoes per my 9 year old daughter), as well as gorgeous earrings and bracelets from Perch Denver/Perch Vail....the accessories added that pop of color I wanted!
