Fur Parka Perfect!

Who needs a parka with a fur hood this Winter??? ME, ME, ME!! And what's so fun about parkas this Winter is that the fur trim comes in so many different colors! I chose blue, because blue is my favorite color. And let's be real, the colder temps are coming and we all need some cute and WARM looks for the season!

I found this parka at ASOS, and for an amazing price! ($127). I wanted this look to be casual and and warm, so I grabbed a gorgeous sweater from Club Monaco and gray Citizens of Humanity jeans. Accessories: Steve Madden lizard heels (which are on repeat!) and a super cute velvet blue tote from Bloomingdales!

Feather Flair!

The holidays are upon us! And we not only need to start our holiday shopping for family and friends, we also have to dress ourselves for those festive cocktail parties that we will be attending! Now, I love a LBD as much as anyone else (I have blogged on a few), but there's nothing better than finding something "non traditional" that will make a statement!

Navy is such a great alternative to black! So, when I found this gorgeous navy feather skirt from Club Monaco, I grabbed it immediately! I wanted to pair it with something a little big different (not your typical blouse, etc), so I went with this feminine Joie sweater. I love the lace detail at the neck...it's so pretty! Final touches: a metallic Rebecca Minkoff clutch and snakeskin Steve Madden heels. Perfect look for a holiday party!!

Mixing Patterns

A few years ago when I sent my then 4 year old daughter off to pre-school in striped leggings and a floral t-shirt, I cringed. But, at that point I was trying to get 3 kids out the door and choosing my battles! I told myself that my youngest dressing herself was a way she could express her creativity! Well, who would have thought that 5 years later I would be writing a blog on how much I love mixing patterns! I guess my daughter was onto something! LOL

Plaid overcoats are huge this Fall and Winter and I LOVE this one from Nordstrom! It is well priced ($180) and super sophisticated. I wanted to keep the look casual, so I paired the coat with my favorite overalls (now is black denim) and my new leopard booties! (on sale). Mixing patterns at it's best! Since the plaid print on the coat is subtle, adding the leopard doesn't make the look too busy. Final touch - a pop of color with a Kate Spade bag, which I turned into a clutch by tucking the chain inside!

Sometimes I just like to blend in....

I am all about monochromatic looks. Honestly, when you are in a pinch and have no time to think about what to wear - just wear one color head to toe! It's simple and chic...and easy! Oh, and for that pop of color...accessories!

Camo jacket and leopard slides_0463.jpg

Army green is such a big color for Fall, so I decided that was my color of choice! Sometimes I feel like blending into the woodwork! LOL.  I love these Joie cargo pants from Bloomingdales - such a great fit. I have been looking for a camo jacket for a while now. I wanted one that was light weight and could be worn as a jacket or as a top! This camo jacket from Nordstrom fit the bill. And for accessories - my fave Michael Kors cheetah slides, an adorable Kate Spade burgundy bag, and my new name necklace from Summer Love Designs!

Fur Bomber

I guess I'm on a faux fur kick?? LOL. I recently came across a new clothing site called SCATTO, and I immediately fell in LOVE with their Sara Fur Bomber! It is the cutest thing ever. Great color, super soft, and versatile. Oh, and did I mention that it's only $88??? You have to go online right now and check out their stuff. You won't be disappointed!

It is finally feeling like Fall in the Northeast and this fur bomber is perfect for layering! I love that the trim of the coat is navy. I found this super cute navy and white cashmere sweater at Bloomingdales and I love the little bunny on the front - so cute (and on sale!). I also found a great pair of AG jeans at Bloomingdales (on sale too) with a super cool cuff.  Now, I have never been afraid of mixing black and navy - so for accessories I chose black suede Sam Edelman pumps and the cutest Ted Baker bag! And last, but not least, my new name necklace courtesy of Summer Love Designs.
