Loving Florals!

So, as a woman who lives in neutral colors and shies away from prints, I have to admit that I am totally digging the floral trend right now!!! Can you believe it? I have also become obsessed with mixing patterns. It can be so unexpected... and take a great look to a fantastic level!

I have always loved Parker dresses. They are super flattering and comfortable. I fell in love with this floral long sleeve dress because I knew it could be worn on its own or with a blazer (similar)! I paired the look with velvet heels (similar) and a gorgeous star print Rebecca Minkoff clutch (on sale!). This look is sophisticated and shows how mixing patterns can be so much fun!!

Pink Bomber Jacket!

I am in love with Scatto Clothing! This is a new website that has super cute outwear, tops. dresses, and much more. I love the bomber jacket trend and I have been collecting them for a while now...so, you can only imagine how excited I was when I found a pink satin bomber (runs big) on scattoclothing.com.... and for only $58!!

I decided to go with a "Pink Lady" theme and grabbed amazing black skinny jeans from Madewell, a black blouse from Shop MInt in Mattituck, NY and leopard heels (similar). This is a perfect look for day and night. All you need is a heavy coat over top for the cold temps we are having! This pink bomber is a must-have, and would make a great holiday gift for your girlfriend, friend, or daughter - and at a great price!

Veronica Beard!

I am in love with Veronica Beard's current collection!! The patterns are gorgeous and the detail is amazing. And I love that her pieces can be worn together or separate with other pieces of your current wardrobe.

This look is actually a top and a skirt! So pretty when worn together, but also great apart. I recently wore the top with skinny jeans and heels and the skirt with a cream sweater and booties! Since colder weather is finally upon us, for this look I chose Dolce Vita boots and a cropped fur coat (similar style, similar style). This look is chic, fun and warm!

Fur Parka Perfect!

Who needs a parka with a fur hood this Winter??? ME, ME, ME!! And what's so fun about parkas this Winter is that the fur trim comes in so many different colors! I chose blue, because blue is my favorite color. And let's be real, the colder temps are coming and we all need some cute and WARM looks for the season!

I found this parka at ASOS, and for an amazing price! ($127). I wanted this look to be casual and and warm, so I grabbed a gorgeous sweater from Club Monaco and gray Citizens of Humanity jeans. Accessories: Steve Madden lizard heels (which are on repeat!) and a super cute velvet blue tote from Bloomingdales!

Mixing Patterns

A few years ago when I sent my then 4 year old daughter off to pre-school in striped leggings and a floral t-shirt, I cringed. But, at that point I was trying to get 3 kids out the door and choosing my battles! I told myself that my youngest dressing herself was a way she could express her creativity! Well, who would have thought that 5 years later I would be writing a blog on how much I love mixing patterns! I guess my daughter was onto something! LOL

Plaid overcoats are huge this Fall and Winter and I LOVE this one from Nordstrom! It is well priced ($180) and super sophisticated. I wanted to keep the look casual, so I paired the coat with my favorite overalls (now is black denim) and my new leopard booties! (on sale). Mixing patterns at it's best! Since the plaid print on the coat is subtle, adding the leopard doesn't make the look too busy. Final touch - a pop of color with a Kate Spade bag, which I turned into a clutch by tucking the chain inside!
