Classic Blazer

There is nothing better than a classic black blazer. It is a staple in every woman's wardrobe! For this look, I wanted to put together something a little different. Something classic, but a little bit unexpected!

This gorgeous blazer is from Club Monaco. A great fit and I loved the gold button detail. I'm loving these high waisted, utility trousers. They're a fun alternative to a skinny jean or leather legging. Final touches: a skinny belt from Madewell, Halston Heritage gold clutch, and striped Sam Edelman heels. This look is perfect day or night!

How gorgeous is this top from Never A Wallflower??? The bell sleeves and tie waist take this checkered shirt to a whole new level. The fit is beyond perfect (I am wearing a small) and flattering. As most of you probably know, I am really into vintage Levi's right now! I love pairing fun tops with distressed jeans, great heels, and a lady-like bag. It's the perfect date night look.

Denim with Detail

Detailed denim is definitely a "thing" right now. Denim with pearls, denim with bows, denim with flowers...the list goes on and on! I really wanted to find a pair that worked for me, but bows and flowers aren't really my thing, so I was super excited when I found denim with stripes!! The detail is subtle, but still makes a statement!

I paired the jeans with a great, fitted sweatshirt (on sale) from Anthropologie. I loved this casual look so much I decided to show it with two different sets of accessories! First, I chose the most popular color for Spring: pink. I'm not usually a "pink" kind of chick, but in accessories...count me in! I think I have this Rebecca Minkoff clutch in every color. It is so simple and sophisticated and only $95! Louise et Cie is one of my new favorite footwear brands. They are very comfortable and reasonably priced...and I just love their pink kitten-heel mules (on sale)!

For the next set of accessories I went a little bit more casual with Badgely Mischka flats and a Botkier backpack....both super fashionable AND functional!!

LEVI'S

I remember visiting my boyfriend (now husband) in Maryland after college. He was a grad student at Johns Hopkins. During my many weekend visits, we would drive down to DC for lunch and I would always drag him to a vintage Levi's store in Georgetown. This store (I wish I remembered the name) had so many pairs of jeans, it made my head spin .....with joy!! I am very sad to say that I no longer have those jeans that I bought many years ago (with much regret!), but I am very happy that Levi's are back and better than ever!

I truly believe that jeans can be dressed up or down. Whether they are ripped, frayed, or baggy, you can make any pair work for during the day or night by what you pair them with. I found these amazing Levi's on shopbop.com. What I loved about these Levi's was the fit and the detail on the seam...and the fact that they were flattering and comfortable (always a bonus)! I chose to dress up the jeans with this simple and feminine black cami. Final touch: my new favorite Malone Souliers heels!

Casual Daze!

I recently asked a few of my friends what they wanted to see more on my blog...and the unanimous answer was CASUAL LOOKS! You know, I always tell my clients that there is a huge "gray" area between wearing gym clothes all day and being dressed for a night on the town. Today, I am sharing a perfect example of this "gray" area!

These are my new favorite jeans from Madewell (on sale!). They are high waisted and have a great stretch to them (a great combo!). The wool cardigan is actually a men's sweater in an XS! I love incorporating menswear into my wardrobe! The plaid shirt (similar) is the perfect underpinning for this look. Final touches - my awesome Golden Goose sneakers (totally worth the price) and a Anthropologie tote (in-store only)!
