Denim Collection

One pair of really awesome jeans can dress you for so many occasions! When I go shopping for a new pair of jeans (my denim collection is extensive) - I ask myself, "How many looks can I get from this one pair of jeans?". The answer is "at least 5 looks" in order for me to buy them. The so called "mom jean" is on trend. I don't know exactly what the title means... Do you have to be a mom to wear them? Are they supposed to be unflattering? (sounds like they should be)... Well, I am a mom of 3 and I am digging these jeans. So, thank you to whomever titled these awesome new addition to my jean "collection"!

I found these Derek Lam "mom jeans" at Perch. I LOVED them the second I put them on. They were fitted where they should be and loose where I WANTED them to be. Truly, I feel amazing in these jeans. I put two looks together (though, there are countless more options- more than 5!) featuring two great jackets from Nordstrom. The Blank NYC suede biker jacket comes is SO many colors! I chose burgundy because it works really well with black, gray and navy. And this Joe's jacket is such a fun take on a bomber jacket and perfect for Spring. Shoes - black Mary Jane's (a footwear staple) and the very popular Malone Souliers mules. Accessories - Norstrom bracelets (cuff), (bangle), Henri Bendel cuff (similar) and a gorgeous Antonello clutch from Perch. Happy shopping!

A Shirt Two Ways

There is nothing better than buying something new and know that it will work with many things in your existing wardrobe. I find there's less guilt with the purchase and better reasoning when your hubby sees the shopping bags!

Both of these looks are built from more great finds at Perch in Denver (also available at Perch Vail). I did some damage while I was in Colorado! I immediately gravitated toward these Derek Lam mom jeans. I love the exaggerated cuff and they are beyond comfortable and flattering (exactly what mom jean should be!). I own 3 black leather skirts and was so excited to add this navy (Alice & Olivia) one to my collection. Navy is my second favorite color - right behind black! The Ace & Jig top is amazing, and I knew when I saw it that it would be a very versatile addition to my wardrobe! It can be dressed up or down, it's very flattering, and  it's different from all the black, navy and white tops that hang in my closet.  And the Malone Souliers mules...well, you are going to see them on repeat. I love them! Final touches: earrings from Henri Bendl, cuffs from Henri Bendel (similar) and Jcrew , and my new fave necklace by Diamonds Doing Good. Here's to shopping with less guilt!

Barbies out the Ying Yang!

As a mom of 3 girls, my life is chaotic, drama-filled and overflowing with Barbies. It is shocking how many Barbies a family can accumulate over a 15 year span. I counted once and I am too embarrassed to share the number, but let's just say it's well over 30. I will probably be a little sad when my youngest stops playing with them, but overall, I am ready to say goodbye to the tiny mismatched shoes (how quickly we lose one of them), the clothing and accessories that clutter my playroom and hurt my feet when I step on a tiny tiara (quite often).

My day is usually scheduled down to the minute. Maybe I am an overachiever? Or maybe I say yes to too many things? (answer: probably both). The point is that I find myself cleaning, making beds and loading the dishwasher in anything from PJ's to a dress and heels. When you have 30 minutes to clean up - there is no time to put on your "clean up" clothes - if there even is such a thing. I'm not usually a pattern person, but I love this Topshop dress from Nordstrom. It's super cute, but not too "young" when paired with a Free People leather jacket. I wanted to add a pop of color to this mostly black look and found these Banana Republic blue suede heels on super sale! The bow on the back is such a fun detail (in store only)! Jewelry - simple gold hoops from Henri Bendel (similar) and stacked bracelets: Hermes, Jcrew and Henri Bendel (in store only). You are ready to do anything in this look - clean the house or go to lunch with friends (or both)!

Perch Shopping Trip!

I don't know about the rest of you, but whenever I have plans to go out with my husband or friends, the "getting ready" part never goes smoothly! Whether I'm ironing my hubby's shirt, feeding the dog, or helping one of my girls with a homework project, it's hard to find a moment to dress myself. That is where the miracle of multi-tasking comes in...something I have mastered as a mom of 3! (Hint: get ready first...give yourself an hour...then help the rest of the clan. This way you won't be scrambling at the end, hopping out the front door with one shoe on while applying mascara!)

One of best friends, Shannon opened a women's boutique in October 2016 called Perch located in Denver, CO. The original Perch opened 4 years ago in Vail, CO.  Both locations are gorgeous and carry unique brands that are chic, fun and fashion forward. During a recent trip to Denver, I shopped til I literally dropped at Perch and brought home the most amazing pieces! I immediately spotted this Michelle Mason jumpsuit and I knew I had to have it!  At 42, I'm usually hesitant to try anything that has cut outs, but this jumpsuit fit like a glove and was the perfect balance of sophisticated and sexy! AND it has pockets. I love pockets! The jumpsuit totally stands on it's own, so I went with simple accessories - tassel earrings from Jcrew, stacked bracelets (Kate Spade)(Kate Spade) from Nordstrom and my new fave Spring shoe - Malone Souliers mules These shoes go with EVERYTHING (you will be seeing a lot of them)!. Check them out on Facebook and Instagram or give them a call - Perch Denver (720) 381-0290, Perch Vail (970) 688-5947 and mention Style Concierge. These boutiques can truly dress you for any occasion!

Date Night in the City (please)!

I cant' believe it's already Monday! Where does the weekend go? I'm sitting on the couch while I right this blog dreaming about an event that I can wear this beautiful look to! Dinner in NYC (big hint to the hubby), birthday party (grown-up one, please!) or fashion event?  Anyway, most of my days, time and weekends are focused on my kid's activities, so you can imagine how super excited I was to get to play dress up!

While in Savannah, GA over Christmas break I found this gorgeous pleated skirt at Harper, a super cute women's boutique. The fur is from Giorgio Pappas Furs located in both New Vernon, NJ and NYC.  Definitely stop by and mention my name. The cream top is from Aritzia, which is one of my favorite stores! Finally, the oxblood heels which have been such a versatile piece in my wardrobe (see similar style) and an Hermes clutch. Simple and sophisticated! Have a great week!
