Leather Weather!

Some people think that you can only wear leather in the Fall and Winter....and I'm here to tell you that is not true! There are so many fun leather options out there for Summer, that are super cute and weather appropriate (i.e. you won't sweat to death)!

I found this amazing white leather dress at Zara. I loved the off-white color and the ruffle straps. And it was only $40! How can you beat that price?!?! I know I will wear this to many events throughout the Summer and then pair it with jeans in the Fall! Isn't it great when your Summer purchase works its way into your Fall wardrobe?!?! For accessories I grabbed my lizard clutch - similar options at August Designs and my old and vintage (per my 15 year old, Emma) Gucci slides (similar). I'm so glad I kept them and that everything seems to come back in style...lol.

Flower Power

Florals have a lot of power this season! So, of course I had to dive right in and find the perfect floral dress!

I chose this Zara dress because it was somewhat muted in color and ruffles as well as an exposed back, which made it fun and kind of sexy! I had to break out my fave pink suede platform sandals (similar) (aka "Barbie" shoes per my 9 year old daughter), as well as gorgeous earrings and bracelets from Perch Denver/Perch Vail....the accessories added that pop of color I wanted!

Top Picks from Rent the Runway!

Styling my clients leaves little time to shop for myself... I had two events to go to (back to back) and no time to find something new. And I didn't want to wear something that I had already worn (please don't judge me!). So, once again, I took a chance and went to Rent the Runway. I had an idea of what I wanted for each event and the website made it super easy to narrow down my choices! And what I found and ordered was perfect...the fit, the style...and the price!

The first dress was for a cocktail party in the city. I know it's Summer, but this green and black Parker dress grabbed my attention immediately!  The layered/ruffle details were super feminine and the dress was beyond comfortable. I kept the accessories simple with black sandals (similar),  drop earrings from Anthropologie and an amazing clutch/shoulder bag from August Designs. You will not be disappointed with this dress!

So, you all know how much I love jumpsuits, right?? Well, I think my husband would've killed me if I bought another one for a party we had to attend (he doesn't quite understand the "difference" between all of the jumpsuits I own!)...so, once again I headed to Rent the Runway, and found this simple and chic black Trina Turk jumpsuit. I knew it would be perfect! I wanted to add a little "flare" to the look, so I chose these amazing pink, feather block heeled sandals and a silver August Designs clutch. Another winner from Rent the Runway!

BBQ's & Rosé!

It's officially Summer on June 21st and you know what that means!?!? BBQ's and fun Summer cocktails! Rosé is a very popular choice for a Summer drink, but I thought why not spice it up??! I love this recipe because it is not only SUPER easy, but it uses fresh fruit too, which is yummy and makes the cocktail pretty. And I also found a great BBQ look - so you will be set from head to toe with a cocktail in hand...you just have to figure out what to cook!

White jeans are a Summer staple. Every girl needs a pair. I actually stole these from my daughter. I only had to cut the length a little bit (she towers over me!)...and they are from Abercrombie & Fitch - so a great price point! I layered a white tank underneath my denim shirt, to give me the option of taking of the denim shirt, if it's a hot day! These amazing platform sandals are from Perch Denver/Perch Vail and are SO comfortable! They are like wearing a heel, but you can run around in them while hosting your BBQ! The gorgeous accessories are also from Perch Denver/Perch Vail: Rosé All Day clutch, beach bag, and stacked beaded bracelets.  All must-haves for Summer! Enjoy your BBQ!

Recipe: Rosé Cocktail

Ingredients: Rosé, Blackberries, Strawberries, Kiwi, ice,

Directions (so easy!): Rinse fruit, chop strawberries into quarters, slice kiwi. Evenly disperse fruit into glasses (I used mason jars), top with ice. Pour Rosé over ice and swirl with a straw!

Favorite ZARA dress!

I recently went on my seasonal shopping spree to Zara and boy, did I find a ton of amazing things!! What I love about Zara is that the clothes are not only fun and unique, but you can fill 3 shopping bags and not break the bank!

How gorgeous is this dress?! It is so simple and chic, but the little details such as the contrasting black belt and slits on the side and front of the dress make it a lot more fun! It's perfect for so many occasions....graduations, dinner dates, Sunday brunch...the list goes on and on. For accessories, I grabbed this gorgeous necklace from Perch Denver/Perch Vail. This necklace is a show stopper and adds so much to the look. Final touches, an oversized silver clutch from Perch Denver/Perch Vail and suede nude block heels from Aldo.
