Sweater PANTS!

Nothing says Fall like a nice cozy sweater and maybe a PSL from Starbucks?! Am I right? Well, I have plenty of sweaters in my closet (though there is always room for more), but what I didn't have were sweater pants! Did you know there was such a thing? Well, there is...and they are warm, cozy, and super cute!

I found these sweater pants at Aritizia. You're not surprised, are you? It is one of my favorite stores! They run true to size and are beyond comfortable and cozy! I wanted to keep the look casual, so I grabbed a cute tee from Nordstrom, my favorite leather jacket from Aritzia, converse sneakers and my YSL tote! Super casual and perfect for Fall. All you need to do is grab a Starbucks!

Leather Makes Everything Better!

I love everything that is leather! Leather jackets, leather leggings, leather tops...even leather chairs! LOL. And it can even be faux leather - why not save some money?!? So, this season, I went on the hunt for a new leather skirt. I knew I wanted a black one and it had to be a little bit different. Oh, and did I hit the jackpot!!!

What is so fabulous about this look, is that everything (except the accessories) is from Zara! This cozy oversized sweater is actually my 15 year old daughters! It's such a bonus to be able to share clothes (less guilt during the purchase!). The bow on the back is such a sweet detail and this sweater works with anything from jeans and trousers to skirts! Can you believe this skirt was only $50??!!  Even though it is faux leather, it looks super rich and the belt gives it an edgy feel. The shoes, also from Zara, are so dainty and feminine! I love how they contrast with the skirt. Bag: YSL (my new and fave). Earrings: Anthropologie. Ear Cuff: Zoe Lev. The ear cuff was a birthday gift from my bestie and I love it!!! Maybe I am still young enough to be cool??!

Casual + Dressy = Perfection

I truly don't categorize my wardrobe....I don't believe in one piece being casual or dressy or just for working out. Most things can work together and this not only makes your closet full of "look" opportunities, it saves you money! One of the biggest mistakes when shopping is buying "outfits". You wear them once or twice (depending on who will be at the function you're attending - don't want repeats), and then these fabulous pieces of clothing sit in your closet ...sad and unworn. We can't have that! So, today on my blog is a great look that mixes casual and dressy perfectly.

Every girls loves a little sparkle! I found this gorgeous rose gold sequin skirt at Jcrew. Great fit, though it runs a little big, and on sale ($82)! I chose a more casual top from Madewell and loved how the navy and burgundy stripe worked with the skirt. Final touches: burgundy heels (similar) and gray clutch (similar).

Where did my Summer Glow go?

I really think that on the first day of school, my tan decided to take a hike. Seriously, I woke up on September 7th and that nice, healthy Summer glow was gone and replaced with tired eyes and pale skin! Okay, maybe I'm exaggerating a bit, BUT as we approach October my tan is officially on it's way out and that makes me sad! Luckily, I found Tanceuticals, the most amazing self tanning cream! And who am I kidding?! I shouldn't be laying in the sun anyway - wrinkles!!!! Tanceuticals is a safe way to have a Summer glow all year long!

You know how most self-tanner lotions have a funny smell? Well, this one doesn't! It smells quite lovely...like a lotion that I would actually choose to moisturize with on a daily basis. I have used both the face and body lotions (dark color). They are both super easy to apply and streak free! The body lotion even comes with a mitt to help with application! I suggest putting it on at night before you go to bed and when you wake up and shower, you are left with a bit of sunshine!

Leather Leggings!

For anyone who knows me, knows that I live in leather leggings in the Fall and Winter! They are beyond comfortable and can be worn with anything from a cozy sweater and converse sneakers to a blazer and heels! And for those non-believers out there...you have to give these leggings a chance...you won't regret it!

Zara dress_0027.jpg

I bought these Aritzia black leather leggings about 3 years ago and I am SO HAPPY to report that they are in stock every Fall and Winter. They come in a few amazing colors and the high-waisted design sucks everything in. No joke, these leggings are like spanx and beyond comfortable. For this blog, I wanted to show how these leggings work for going out for lunch with friends or a night out on the town!  I found this amazing blazer at Zara. I love the ruched sleeves and the longer length (it covers my fanny :)! Underneath, I chose this awesome light weight sweater from Zara which has super cool fraying detail on the hems! Final touches....leopard heels and a gray clutch.
