44 Years Young

Today is my birthday. I am 44 years old. As a kid I remember counting down the days until my birthday. I LOVED getting older. Now, not so much! However, I try to take it in stride. I exercise, eat well, take my vitamins, etc. The list goes on and on, but it's still hard to watch my body change, to find new wrinkles and dimples, need glasses, and not understand what the hell a GIF or a meme are! Gosh, sometimes my kids make me feel like I am ancient. But at the end of the day, I think its actually my 3 girls that remind me to enjoy the journey and to not sweat the small stuff. Do I still wish I had the body of my 25 year old self? Damn, straight, but I wouldn't want to be 25 again. I am so happy and blessed at 44, and that is what I tell myself when a new wrinkle appears or my jeans from 5 years ago don't fit anymore. Because there is always a solution to everything - just go buy some face cream and a new pair of jeans. Just saying. xo

Rebecca Taylor really did it right this season!! I am loving everything in her collection. This dress is the perfect length, color, and print! I kept the accessories simple: white clutch, white kitten heels, and my favorite Warby Parker shades.

Momma & her Coffee!

I didn't always like coffee. I actually made it through high school and college without drinking any! Hard to believe, isn't it? When my first daughter was born, I knew I needed something to keep my eyelids open! That is when I became a coffee convert. I started out with the sweetest, least coffee-tasting drink. As my kids multiplied (I have 3 now), my coffee drinks changed. I needed the real deal! Isn't it funny how our tastes and habits change as we get older? However, one thing that I have tried to keep consistent over the years is getting dressed for the day....meaning getting out of my workout clothes! It definitely isn't always easy, but when I can make it happen, I feel great!! The secret is finding simple and easy looks that take no time to throw on.

What's easier than a pair of jeans and a summer top? Um...nothing! These Mother jeans fit like a glove and they are the first pair of cropped flare jeans that I believe would be flattering on most women! Let's be honest...it's not an easy trend! I am in love with Rebecca Taylor's spring collection. This top is so pretty and feminine and I know I will wear to death! Accessories: Veronica Beard heels (they seriously go with everything) and my Louis Vuitton tote (an oldie, but a goodie)!

White Shoes!

I was fighting the fight for the longest time, but I have to admit that I have finally succumb to the white shoe trend! I now own multiple pairs. LOL. It's all about finding the "right" white shoe for you....and the perfect outfit to go with it!

This gorgeous Top Shop dress is super flattering. I love the pattern and the silouette. It's such a feminine dress, but sexy at the same time. For me, I wanted my white heels to be classic. I found these at Aldo and I knew they would work with so many other looks in my existing wardrobe. Final touch - personal favorite: white Rebecca Minkoff clutch.

OOTD Black Dress

I know I have said this before, but sometimes it's just easier to wear black, am I right??. It's a great option, because it's easy AND it gives you a lot of wiggle room for fun and bright accessories!

This dress from Nordstrom is made out of the most comfortable (and stretchy) material! The belt, low back, and side slit make it sexy and a bit dressier. I know these Malone Souliers are on repeat...but I just LOVE them! And the bag---I just love oversize clutches (similar color), because my big iPhone fits as well as my other date-night necessities!

Florals!!

With April 1st around the corner, I feel like I can finally break out the florals! I'm not a huge pattern girl, but florals are such a huge trend this Spring, I had to try them out!

Floral Pants_1064.jpg

What made me fall in love with these Anthropologie pants was the elastic waist (comfort!) and the silky fabric. The floral pattern is fun, and I liked the fact that the colors were not too bright (I also have an aversion to bright colors...lol). I kept the rest of the look simple and classic with a black Club Monaco blazer, Malone Soulier heels (on repeat), and a white Rebecca Minkoff clutch (also on repeat)!
