Easy At Home Teeth Whitening for Busy Moms!

Who wants pearly whites for Christmas this year?? I do! My dad was a dentist, so I have always taken good care of my teeth, but even with great brushing, flossing, and yearly dental visits, I can't keep my teeth super white! I think the culprits are red wine and coffee....oops. But a girl has to have some fun, right?!?!  Well, you can imagine my excitement when I had the opportunity to try out SMILE BRILLIANT - a custom-fitted teeth whitening kit. The results were amazing!

As a busy mom of three, it's hard to find time to do things for myself! How many of you wish you could send emails telepathically while cooking dinner and helping your kids with their homework? Being able to multi-task is quite useful when you are a mom! So, I was thrilled when I found out that I could literally whiten my teeth while doing a million other things! LOL. And SMILE BRILLIANT makes the entire process so easy and pain free. An impression kit is sent to you in the mail with very simple instructions. After you send it back, you then receive your trays, along with whitening and desensitizing syringes. I whitened my teeth every day for two weeks - ranging from 45 mins to an hour each time. Sometimes, I wore them while I cooked dinner, other times right before bed while I caught up on my Netflix shows! I had minimal sensitivity because of the amazing desensitizing gel. SMILE BRILLIANT is great and it works! And guess, what? You have a chance to win your OWN teeth whitening kit - enter to win here. Ballet, Tap & Gymnastics, OH MY!

There is nothing better than a ONE STOP SHOP! Am I right? Especially during the holiday season. My girls have been going to Annie's Playhouse in Far Hills for many years now, and do everything from voice and guitar to musical theater and gymnastics! You could say that my kids have the "music and acting" bug! LOL. Well, I was SO HAPPY when they opened up Attiva - a clothing store that sells everything from taps shoes and leotards for girls to workout clothes for women! This is the perfect place to find great holiday gifts!

Fur Parka Perfect!

Who needs a parka with a fur hood this Winter??? ME, ME, ME!! And what's so fun about parkas this Winter is that the fur trim comes in so many different colors! I chose blue, because blue is my favorite color. And let's be real, the colder temps are coming and we all need some cute and WARM looks for the season!

I found this parka at ASOS, and for an amazing price! ($127). I wanted this look to be casual and and warm, so I grabbed a gorgeous sweater from Club Monaco and gray Citizens of Humanity jeans. Accessories: Steve Madden lizard heels (which are on repeat!) and a super cute velvet blue tote from Bloomingdales!

Feather Flair!

The holidays are upon us! And we not only need to start our holiday shopping for family and friends, we also have to dress ourselves for those festive cocktail parties that we will be attending! Now, I love a LBD as much as anyone else (I have blogged on a few), but there's nothing better than finding something "non traditional" that will make a statement!

Navy Feather Skirt_0512.jpg

Navy is such a great alternative to black! So, when I found this gorgeous navy feather skirt from Club Monaco, I grabbed it immediately! I wanted to pair it with something a little big different (not your typical blouse, etc), so I went with this feminine Joie sweater. I love the lace detail at the neck...it's so pretty! Final touches: a metallic Rebecca Minkoff clutch and snakeskin Steve Madden heels. Perfect look for a holiday party!!

Mixing Patterns

A few years ago when I sent my then 4 year old daughter off to pre-school in striped leggings and a floral t-shirt, I cringed. But, at that point I was trying to get 3 kids out the door and choosing my battles! I told myself that my youngest dressing herself was a way she could express her creativity! Well, who would have thought that 5 years later I would be writing a blog on how much I love mixing patterns! I guess my daughter was onto something! LOL

Plaid overcoats are huge this Fall and Winter and I LOVE this one from Nordstrom! It is well priced ($180) and super sophisticated. I wanted to keep the look casual, so I paired the coat with my favorite overalls (now is black denim) and my new leopard booties! (on sale). Mixing patterns at it's best! Since the plaid print on the coat is subtle, adding the leopard doesn't make the look too busy. Final touch - a pop of color with a Kate Spade bag, which I turned into a clutch by tucking the chain inside!
